Mike Pitts has been in the health and wellness field for over two decades. He received his undergraduate degree from Shepherd University and his Master's degree from the California University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science with a concentration in Health and Wellness and Post injury rehabilitation. Mike is also a Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage graduate and an LMT in the DMV area. He has experience working with various patients, including Track & Field teams, basketball athletes, football athletes, marathon runners, and individuals with neurological, motor, and panic disorders. As a competitive athlete for many years, Mike understands that massage therapy is an integral part of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall health. Through Mike’s active listening skills, he can work with patients to create the most effective treatment tailored to their needs. His compassionate and holistic approach to massage therapy blends his therapeutic knowledge with the natural healing power of the human body to create a unique and soothing treatment. Using light to moderate pressure, Mike’s treatment style is fluid, grounding, and calming – he incorporates Swedish relaxation, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and gentle therapeutic stretching. He also studied Fascial Movement Taping Levels 1 & 2, Performance Taping, and Cupping under the guidance of Rock Tape. He is also a certified Functional Movement Screen Specialist (FMS). When he's not working, you can find Mike out preparing for the Tactical Games.
