I was a bit taken aback by the appearance of the building and the space - it felt like I was going into the home of struggling artists. Which on one hand has a cool vibe, but not what I expected for a massage, it honestly felt a bit sketchy

Sorry it felt like a struggling artists home. I am not sure what you would expect. We have pictures online, many businesses in New Orleans are in old converted homes. We don’t own the building and even if we did we would not want to renovate
