Hi and Welcome! I've been a massage therapist for 14 wonderful years now and I look forward to meeting you and sharing my experience with you! I grew up in Preston County, lived several other places, and moved back home a few years ago. Some of my massage credentials are that I'm Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, which is the highest certification our industry offers; I earned a "Specialization in Anatomy and Physiology" from the University of Michigan, I've been an Anatomy and Physiology tutor for several years now, I hold a Sports Massage Specialization through the American Massage Therapy Association, and I was a Massage Therapy Instructor for about 5 years and taught every course of a 750-hour program. I do all types of massage but specialize in pain relief, especially shoulder and neck pain resulting from tight shoulder girdle muscles and trigger points (knots). Some modalities in which I've trained are: Medical Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Neuromuscular Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Functional Movement Techniques, Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, Cupping, IASTM Practitioner, Gua Sha/Scraping, Thai Stretching, PTSD-Informed Massage, Fibromyalgia Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Prenatal Massage, Infant Massage, Geriatric Massage, KinesioTaping, Lomi Lomi, Indian Head Massage, Tsuboki Face Massage, and others. I love to learn and am always learning new modalities and skills! My other hobbies and interests outside of massage and A&P are learning, reading, hanging out with friends, watching a good film, and using YouTube videos to try and learn how to keep up with the maintenance required by a very old home! :) I'm looking forward to learning about you and getting started with helping you meet your health and wellness goals!
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
