I learned the therapeutic effects of massage at a very early age. My mother was a hostess working 12-14 hour days in high heels and she would ask us to rub lotion on her legs and feet at night. (And allowed us to stay up late watching TV) Rather than watching TV one night, I watched her. She was clearly in a lot of pain and as soon as I started rubbing her feet her face relaxed, she took a deep breath and settled into a relaxed state.  I didn't make my way to Massage Therapy as a profession until much later - I graduated Lincoln College in Illinois in 2011 and was nationally certified in 2012. For over 12 years I have had the honor of being my client's pathway to a more comfortable life. And I wouldn't trade it for the world! I recently started teaching Clinical Soft Tissue Techniques at a local massage school. And, now, have the pleasure of sharing my experience and expertise with the next generation of pain relievers!
