My interest in massage began while teaching yoga. I wanted to understand why some postures came easily and others did not, both in my own body and others. Massage school was a great way to learn about the human body and to develop an additional skill. After I received my massage license in 1993, my curiosity led me to the Ben Benjamin technique with Susan Rosen for injury treatment and then in 2011 I completed an Advanced Certification in Orthopedic Massage from the Port Townsend School of Massage with Susan Rosen and Richard Polishuk. From 2005-2020 Thai massage was my favorite modality. Most recently I have been deepening my knowledge of bodywork with Lauren Christman in Craniosacral Therapy. The more I learn the deeper my appreciation grows of the healing power of bodywork.
