I developed an interest in the human body and all its intricacies when I was in high school. Graduating from Grace Christian in 2005, I went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Health Science from Bryan College in 2009. I then decided to combine my love of fitness, the human body and helping others by attending the Virginia School of Massage in Charlottesville, VA in 2010 and becoming a certified massage therapist a year later. I also obtained my personal training and group fitness certifications. My passion is keeping people healthy and operating at their best, preventing injury and disease whenever possible. I specialize in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy (Deep Feet Therapy), which is a deep compression technique performed with the feet that provides deep healing and relaxation for lasting results. I always want my clients to feel the benefits of the work long after they leave the massage table. I am also a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer and have been doing CrossFit to maintain and improve my strength and fitness levels for over 2 years. I love working with other athletes to ensure they can continue working out at their best! Lastly, I strongly believe in looking at the body and wellness as a whole and believe this gives me the most success when working with clients. Being balanced physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually all ties in to dealing with any issue that may come up for someone. This is something I have struggled with and by no means am perfect at, but I am aware of it and always working towards it. It's important for us to do things that give us life and rejuvenate us. When I can help someone through their pain, whether physical or otherwise, that is life-giving to me.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
