Hey guys! My name is Rachel, Massage Therapist and owner of Almasana Massage Studio. I've been a Massage Therapist since 2009, working in the spa industry for 3 years before going out on my own in 2012. Over the years I've learned techniques through continuing education, internship and by receiving and giving massages. I found what works best for me as a massage recipient and practitioner and brought these techniques into my practice for my clients to enjoy! I love what I do because I go to work and help people feel better everyday. I'm not only responsible for helping your tense muscles feel better, but also think its important as a massage therapist to bring good energy into the massage room, and to make you feel comfortable. I prefer using deep tissue massage techniques that are intentional, relaxing, therapeutic and super slow! These slow massage strokes help to facilitate relaxation by increasing all of the good hormones, and decreasing the bad ones, and when you're relaxed I'm able to get deep into those muscle fibers much more effectively. and without you tensing up. life gets crazy, relax your body AND your mind, come get a massage!
