Hello! I am originally from the Gulf Coast and I moved to middle Tennessee in 2015. In college, I studied nursing and earned my bachelors degree. When I set out to work, the one thing I wanted was to take care of people and make them feel better. I soon learned that it wasn't going to be in nursing. During this time I also experienced the death of my parents and sister within a 2 year period. This led to a long break in my nursing career but also began the rest of my journey. I kept myself busy with the job of homeschooling my kiddos. When we moved to Tennessee, I received my personal training certification through ACE and began running boot camps until Covid hit. I began having a lot of back and body pains as well as autoimmune flare ups. As a part of my search for relief, I began to research massage therapy schools and found Cumberland Institute of Holistic therapies. It wasn't until I started this massage journey at Cumberland that I realized the connection between the mind and body. The pain and the immune issues I had been dealing with all these years were directly related to the grief I felt from all my losses. My hope is to bring some relief to others no matter where they are in the healing process. I believe we are not separate compartments to heal one at a time. We are a whole body, mind, and soul made by God to work together for healing. At Cumberland, I received training in Lymphatic Drainage Massage to better help myself with autoimmune issues and I to hope to carry that over to help others as well. I believe in different healings for different bodies and I am willing to work along side other practitioners for the total body care of the individual. I plan to grow my knowledge of lymphatics in order to build my toolbox to help others. When I am not working you'll find me at the gym de-stressing! I love to sing in the church choir, read books, and sew.
