Welcome! My journey to becoming a licensed massage therapist actually began in 2016 when I was hospitalized with a viral infection in my brain. Months of being laid up and recovery led to a weight gain of over 100 pounds. As I worked to lose weight, I fell in love with fitness. By August 2018, I had become a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. I continued my education with multiple certifications, including Weight Loss Specialist, Stretching and Flexibility Coach, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and several others. Wellness was now the central focus of my life, and as I began to consider the future, massage therapy seemed to be the next logical step. What I love most about being a massage therapist is the ability to help people with a wide variety of issues. I may give a massage for relaxation and stress relief in the morning and help with pain management or biomechanical dysfunction in the afternoon. There are many ways in which massage can be physically beneficial. In addition to its physical benefits, massage has been shown to be beneficial emotionally and can aid with psychological issues such as depression and anxiety. Whatever your reason for seeking a massage, it would be both my pleasure and an honor to help. Should you have questions or wish to book an appointment, contact me. I look forward to hearing from you. Joshua A. Coffell, NASM-CPT, CES, PES, LMT
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
