Helping others has always been my passion for life. Being able to help someone feel heathier and better about themselves has always given me a sense of satisfaction. In 2014 I lost my mother due to complications from diabetes and it set me off in search of a healthier life-style for myself, a way to help cope with my loss while also being better at helping others. In 2015 I began my yoga journey which led me to my 200 hr Yoga Teacher training in 2017. Yoga is a great tool in helping to eliminate negativities within the body and bring about solid body awareness. Within the practice of Yoga many elements of the body go through transformations due to the use of body movements and breathing. Being able to open stagnate tissues and get fresh oxygen within will begin to release tension and pain. Yoga is also a great tool in calming the mind. You can carry your yoga with you everyday. In 2020 I began my Massage Therapy program due to the strong therapeutic relationship between yoga and massage. As we age the body slowly begins to lose elasticity and begins to tighten which eventually causes pain and stiffness. Massage not only feels great but can help in smoothing adhesions within the underlying tissues so we can move more freely, remove metabolite, and feel better overall. I feel that the combined use of Yoga and Massage greatly helps in the physical aspect as well as the mental. A healthy body creates a healthy mind.
