I became a Massage Therapist in Florida in 2021, following a career as a first responder. I worked as a Paramedic, Firefighter, and Law Enforcement Officer for a combined total of over 20 years as well as being an Army veteran. My public safety career resulted in many physical injuries over the years, but I was caught by the devastating diagnosis of PTSD. This diagnosis ended my public safety career early and I still needed to provide for my family. Massage therapy allowed me to use my extensive medical training and experience to continue helping others while providing a therapeutic environment for myself to work. During my recovery from many of the injuries during my career, massage encouraged pain relief as well as promoted quicker healing and a reduced reliance on medications for pain control. This has fueled my passion for helping others by providing the encouragement for the body to heal itself! I have worked in a spa environment since becoming licensed and have also been an instructor at Space Coast Education Center in Florida. My responsibilities as an instructor involved teaching anatomy and physiology to the massage students to enable them to successfully pass the licensing exams and to become effective and passionate therapists. I am licensed as a Massage Therapist in both South Carolina and Florida and have also earned certification as a medical massage practitioner. My focus of massage is all aspects of medical massage and deep tissue work using trigger point therapies. My philosophy toward massage is that it should never be painful, although it may incur some discomfort. The goal is for it to “hurt so good!” I am relocating to South Carolina to be with my girlfriend of the last several years. I have an adult daughter and a 16 year old son who will continue to stay in Florida to finish his high school education and prepare for college. I look forward to building new relationships with clients and being able to serve you!
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
