I was introduced to massage when I was only 9 years old. I started massaging my friends and counselors while at summer camp. It has been a passion ever since. I didn't realize it could be an actual career till I was in my early 20s. I searched for a school that would combine energy work as well as serious therapy. My goal was to work on the New England Patriots. I finally found Utah College Of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City. I was lucky enough to be there for the 1998 Winter Olympic tryouts. This gave me experience with many International level athletes. After school I found a job at a spa in North Attleboro. Many of the Patriots went there, so I was able to fulfill my dream. After 10 years, the spa expanded into a larger spa with a greater focus on spa like treatments. It was no longer a good fit for me. I left and found a job working for a chiropractor in Rhode Island. This was a great learning opportunity for me. I also opened my own office within a Physical Therapy office in South Attleboro. This, too, was a great learning environment. I now rent a single room in an office building in Johnston, RI where I live with my husband, dog and cat. Johnston is a fabulous and growing town. I feel more at home here than anyplace I have ever been.
