My journey in bodywork and wholistic health began over a decade ago when I found myself in a dark, scary place not sure what was going on with my physical well being. All aspects of my health had began to fail me. After a year of being tossed around to different doctors and specialists, I was finally diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that doctors told me could not be healed. The only offering was a very invasive medical procedure that may or may not help, or high doses of prescription pain medication to help with the symptoms. Desperate and in disbelief as a young 19 year old, I told myself that this was not it. I was not going to live my life in pain and agony, and there has to be some other way. My desperation led me to the world of wholistic healing, herbal medicine and bodywork. Utilizing herbal medicine, nutrition, craniosacral therapy and massage, my body began to heal. It really felt like I was given a second chance at this life. Not just was my pain going away and basic bodily functions reviving themselves, but it was like this dark cloud had been lifted off my shoulders. My anxiety and depression was also diminishing while my body and mind healed itself. Since regaining my health and power back, it has been my soul's purpose to find a way to share these modalities with the world in hopes on inspiring people to do what I did. To feel empowered on your healing journey. To live the life you want to live, without chronic pain and discomfort in your body and your mind. To find balance and peace in your mind, body and soul so that you can step back into your power, your wellbeing. Empower Bodywork and Wellness is my practice that combines traditional massage techniques, deep tissue, craniosacral therapy, trigger point therapy, myofascial relief, stretching, cupping, gua sha, yoga philosophy and breathwork, and other bodywork modalities that are chosen for your specific and unique needs.
