Learn more at EvaRolfs.com ------------- Beverly Certified Rolfer®, Certified Watsu® Aquatic Therapist, MBLEX Certified Beverly leads Eva Watson Rolfing, which is named after her two strong, accomplished and independent grandmothers. She is a Certified Rolfer ™ and Certified Watsu® practitioner, a triple UK-US-Canadian citizen, and is an active swimmer, hiker, cyclist, traveler and adventurer. Beverly trained with Mary Seamster in Vancouver, WA for Watsu® and at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® in Boulder, CO for Rolfing® Structural Integration, studying under Ray McCall, Brett Linder, Neal Anderson, Nobuko Muth, Juan David Vélez and others. Beverly has also received Rolfing® from Marcel Coutinho, Rosemary Feitis, Jim Asher, John Martine, Rob McWilliams, Keith Economidis and many others. She has 25 years' experience practicing many types of yoga and studied Ashtanga Yoga with Ron Reid, Patti Perez, Eddie Stern, Christopher Hildebrandt and others, as well as workshops with Pattabhi Jois, Sharath Jois and Manju Jois. In addition to yoga, Watsu and Rolfing, over the years, Beverly has taken courses in massage, Feldenkrais, Gyrotonics, Alexander technique, Pilates, Yamuna Body Rolling, various forms of meditation, Eastern European and North African dance, and hypnotherapy. She is also a vegetarian (now pescatarian) of 35 years. On the other end of the spectrum, for nearly 30 years, Beverly worked in digital software design and technology management in Canada, Europe and the US, which meant sitting down in meetings or being hunched over a computer or phone for most of the day, as well as grueling corporate travel. She held senior executive managerial and leadership roles at American Fortune 50 companies, has an Executive MBA, an MS in Software Systems Design, ran her own consultancy, founded and led an international awards program, worked at the United Nations, and taught graduate level design, innovation and software courses at American Ivy League schools. Over time, Beverly realized that none of these provided the feeling of satisfaction she was seeking from helping others and improving the world around us, or reflected her passions for movement and body-based therapies and experiences. At 45, Beverly began to pursue a new career direction that was focused on helping people to find freedom in their bodies and minds, and to live with less pain. She first completed her Watsu® training in 2021 and then left her technology career to become certified in Rolfing® in 2024 and achieved MBLEX certification in 2025 (for licensure in the practice of Massage Therapy in the US only). However, Beverly is not your average health-conscious bodyworker, or technologist who suffers from a tight neck and shoulders. She is also a cancer survivor, has had 9 major surgeries since age 18, has degenerative spinal and skeletal impediments, and has a neurological condition. Both Watsu® and Rolfing® have helped Beverly immensely over the years, in addition to other modalities (chiropractic, acupuncture, massage). Although she has tried nearly everything, Beverly credits Rolfing® structural integration as the single biggest catalyst that aided her recovery from her major surgeries, in managing the effects of her neurological condition, and in continuing to maintain her health and pain-free mobility. Her physicians and surgeons consider her recovery and current health to be remarkable, unusual and surprising, based on the traditional downward trajectory of most patients with even one of her conditions. Beverly learned through experience how to support her own healing and never gave up finding and integrating approaches like Rolfing® that really work. Today, she leads an active, full life and is significantly more mobile and pain free than she was 5 or even 15 years ago. Rolfing® really works! If you are seeking a manual therapist who is invested in your long-term recovery, healing and improvement, who you can trust and open up to, and who can understand your pain and struggles, Beverly can help. She will use her analytical mind to fully assess your current situation and her creative, intuitive, sensory skills to feel and direct the tissue to where it wants and needs to be. She will hold space for your healing and be a supportive coach for your progress. Beverly was excited to be able to help her first two clients, ages 22 and 82, find greater freedom, ease and alignment to help improve their lives, and now she looks forward to helping you.
