Kara Anand-Gall, MA, LMT
Kara Gall is a practitioner in the field of complementary and integrative wellness who divides her time between massage therapy, writing, and creative coaching. In her clinical practice, Kara focuses on massage as a therapeutic modality to help clients enjoy being in their bodies. From pain management to stress management, from honoring life's transitions to simple relaxation, she is passionate about helping her clients develop a deeper awareness and appreciation of their bodies. Each treatment is customized, depending upon the client's needs, using a combination of Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, and myofascial techniques. As an active, published writer of poetry and prose, Kara greatly enjoys working with artists and writers who want to get "out of their heads" and into their bodies. Her research on the effects on massage on writing practice suggested that massage could help reduce feelings of being "blocked or stuck" and also increased awareness of the creative process. A former college writing instructor, Kara was awarded the 2012 Wekesser Outstanding Teacher Award from Southeast Community College and the 2012 TYCA Midwest Outstanding New Faculty Award. Kara earned a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. She earned her massage therapy credentials from Universal College of Healing Arts in Omaha, Nebraska, a rigorous 1000-hour program. She is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
