Lowell Isom is a graduate of A Gathering Place in Maryland Heights, MO. He is a Licensed Massage Therapist in Missouri and the owner of Healing Path Retreat LLC in Southern Illinois. With a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Food Science Microbiology, Lowell is relatively new to the world of therapeutic massage and bodywork. Prior to his journey into massage therapy, Lowell spent over 28 years in the food industry as a food scientist—along the way, receiving culinary certification through Kendall College in Chicago—and, hence, has a strong foundation in applied health and nutrition. Lowell is passionate about helping others achieve healthy lives with less pain and discomfort. His expertise and ability to leverage both the art and science of massage therapy in order to identify and alleviate pain in the body is exceptional. Lowell specializes in deep tissue massage while incorporating both trigger point and myofascial release techniques. In his free time, Lowell enjoys spending time with his family, taking nature hikes, completing home renovation projects, and spending time with his dog. His spirit, energy and passion for wellness provide a refreshing massage therapy experience.
