HI EVERYONE! After 5 years rolling around in pro sports I am finally back in Detroit! My intention is to continue to serve the midwest as best as possible, so for my out of town clients, drop me a line and with a little pre planning, I will gladly accommodate. To NEW CLIENTS, a bit about myself... I moved to the US 12 years ago from Australia and landed on Massage Therapy as a change of career and in an effort to find some solutions to some *QUIRKS* that resulted from several years playing rugby at the highest levels. After experiencing the benefits of how bodywork aids the athlete, even old my own old niggles, this became my mission! I wanted to work in professional sports and with athletes to help improve performance, decrease injury, prolong careers and to raise the level of training. I went on to cut my teeth working in the back of a Chinese medicine clinic, taking on the weekend warriors, cross fitters, marathon runners, high school and college athletes and the like. These clients were interspersed with people seeking solutions to all manner of ailments (hip replacements, insomnia, depression, frozen shoulder, digestion etc). It was great and I learned a great deal on the fly and from the other practitioners that I worked alongside and eventually gained some opportunities to work some of the ATP Tennis Tour, however I still felt that I wanted more work within a training room somewhere! After studying Fascia Stretch Therapy through the prestigious Stretch To Win Institute in Arizona, an extremely versatile and productive, science and evidenced based approach to bodywork, many doors opened in the sporting world. I soon found myself off to Michigan to work in a clinic that was responsible for working with the Detroit Lions. I would go on to work and, in the end even travel with the team over 2 seasons, before getting connected to the Indiana Pacers NBA team and taking up an opportunity to work with their playing group as a member of their medical team. Now after 2 NFL seasons, 3 NBA seasons, traveling with the Bahamas National Team and working for a number of pro athletes, I am ready for a change of pace and a bit more of a level work/life balance. And here is where you come in! I use a multi faceted, evidence based approach that calls upon extensive amounts of continuing education, years of experience in a number of diverse settings and a variety of techniques and modalities to help get results and positive life outcomes for people of all levels of activity, shapes and sizes. Feel free to drop me a line with any questions or queries and I look forward to working with you soon!
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
