I have been in practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist since graduating
from Spa Tech Institute’s Deep Tissue/Therapeutic Massage program in 2007.
Understanding there is a deep, energetic aspect to bodywork, I went on to
receive my Associate Polarity Practitioner training at Spa Tech Institute in
2008. My passion for bodywork and natural curiosity with the human body
continued to grow as I gained experience, and I was again called back to
academia. I was curious to learn more about the injuries, faulty movement
patterns, and underlying causes of dysfunction I was presented with daily while
working with patients. In 2009, my insatiable curiosity led me on the long, but
worthwhile journey to receiving my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New England. I matriculated into the DPT program after obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from the University of Southern Maine.
Throughout my training, I gained clinical experience at many area high
schools, colleges, hospitals and physical therapy clinics, while simultaneously
running a successful massage practice. With each experience, my love for
bodywork deepened, and kept me grounded and focused during the most
challenging times of my life. I speak from the heart when I say, “Massage
is my first love,” and, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in
your life.” I look forward to sharing my knowledge, love of bodywork, and
passion for aiding patients along their healing pathway. Welcome to where
massage and physical rehabilitation meet!
