Michelle Reynolds has been working with bodies for over 35 years, first as a Licensed Physical therapy assistant and now as a Licensed Massage Therapist and all the while as a yoga and fitness professional.
Her experience gives her a level of understanding of the body which is unique. She has the ability to see the body through many lenses and is able to share this with her clients. She recognizes that we each have inner wisdom that we can tap into to help us with our healing journey. It is her goal to meet each individual where they are and to help them to realize their own inner potential. No two treatment plans are the same as we are each unique individuals with specific goals, bodies and limitations.
Michelle's Philosophy:
I use a variety of modalities in my practice to assist with the treatment goals of my clients. I have studied Swedish massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point release using multiple modalities, Myofascial release and Craniosacral Therapy and Yoga, Yoga Nidra. Each modality is useful to work with accomplishing the goals and needs of each individual client. During the bodywork session, I might use essential oils, hot stones or cupping to maximize the effectiveness of the session for my clients.
Each session is unique, based on the needs and desires of my client. I am able to work with each person to create the right session according to their needs and to help them with the long term goals of their body and mind.
I am trained in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute and have been working with this modality since 2018. This technique has helped me to develop a subtler level of working with the body that is useful for many types of conditions, as it helps to relax the nervous system. Craniosacral therapy continues to inspire me and to teach me about how to work with the body on deeper levels. I use my knowledge of the body along with my intuition to work at a deep level for my clients. I am also an energy healer, having been attuned at the Reiki Master Level, Kundalini Reiki, and Sekhem Sekheim. I received my Yoga and Yoga Nidra education at Amrit Yoga Institute.
I continue to learn new techniques, as well as to refine the ones I have studied. I bring my education of the body, mind, and spirit together when working with individuals. It is impossible to separate these parts of us when working, as the mind influences the body and the body influences the mind. If we are not connected consciously, then one part can negatively influence the others. I share a variety of techniques to help my clients learn how manage stress through quieting the mind and healing the body.
"I believe that we are energetic beings and can be healed through all aspects of our being: physical and subtle. Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Craniosacral Therapy all work utilizing energy and help to release the issues right at the source. "
Michelle has been studying yoga and meditation techniques for over 30 years to maintain balance in own life. She received her 500-hour RYT training at the Amrit Yoga Institute (AYI) with Yogi Amrit Desai and Master Level Yoga Nidra Facilitator training at AYI with Kamini Desai.
