Julia Tibbets, C.M.T., brings over 10 years of experience to her individually tailored bodywork sessions, utilizing many techniques to ensure each treatment addresses her clients’ needs. Her goal is to help the body help itself effect lasting change by addressing soft tissue entrapments and issues in each treatment and over time with individual treatment plans. She graduated from Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences in South Bend, IN in 2007, completing 1200 hours of education in Medical Manual Therapy. Her specialties include deep tissue massage, sports massage, myofascial release techniques, medical massage protocol, manual lymph drainage, and prenatal massage. Her clients include all ages from toddlers to the most mature of us. She has worked extensively with many conditions, including: joint replacement and other orthopedic surgery recovery, rotator cuff injuries, fibromyalgia, migraines, plantar fasciitis, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, traumatic injury recovery (i.e., whiplash), and other repetitive stress injuries. She has also worked with many athletes for event preparation and recovery. Her clients recognize and value the progress they see and feel from their massages with Julia, and she has developed a loyal following because of the results she produces. She believes massage is not a luxury, but a way of life to improve quality of life and works to develop a course of action for each individual to best fit their needs, schedule, and budget. Julia also earned a B.A. from Purdue University in 2003, and enjoys reading, dancing, yoga, and spending time in nature. She feels so blessed to support herself doing something she truly loves, values, and genuinely enjoys.
