I believe every one deserves self care days. Healing has been a process and takes time. I have replaced bad habits of what I thought was treating myself with habits nurturing to my well being. Massage showed me the door to my healing journey and started the path that created the person I am today. I have gone through a long journey of healing and growth these past years. In this journey of finding self love and listening to my roots I have found my path. Ten years ago I started my journey with massage therapy. I have worked in various settings; like spas, chiropractic offices, athletic centers. Learning various modalities like cupping and gua sha. In chiropractic offices I learned how to create treatment plans specific to their needs. Now in my recent years I have found clarity and compassion for self. I am a trauma survivor. I have healed through love and kindness from my self and my ancestors. I believe the universe is more magical than we were told and that everything is connected. Our body holds so much more than knots. Through the process of healing and bodywork I have found inner peace, community, knowledge and sobriety. I am passionate about helping others on their healing journey. Healing of the body, mind or spirit. I am here to remind you that you deserve to heal, rest, and feel peace. I aim to create a safe space for folx to feel comfortable to relax and reset. Through body work one can avoid future injuries, aid past injuries, reduce tension, decrease aches or pains, and increase joint mobilization. Body work also helps reduce stress and anxiety, help those with trauma, shut out internal noise, or even create better sleeping patterns. My sessions are personalized to each individuals needs and wants in the healing. I use various modalities including : trigger point release, aromatherapy, cupping, reflexology, vibrational sound therapy, gua sha, hot stones, Thai massage, medical based, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, and acupressure. I offer prenatal massage for those who are at least in their second trimester. Aimed to provide accessible healing for the BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities.
I graduated at the SOMA Institute of Massage Therapy in Chicago in 2012. Where I learned medical based massage and western modalities like swedish, deep tissue, sports, medical based and lymphatic drainage. In 2015 I attended Pacific College of Health and Science to learn Eastern modalities like Thai massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy. Currently I am in the Masters program at Pacific College studying Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Healing comes to us in various ways. I am passionate about healing, wellness, and self care. The process of nurturing my inner child and my current self through various outlets of healing has been the greatest adventure. I love sharing the knowledge I have learned on this adventure.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
