I was 25 when I lost my mother unexpectedly after a doctor prescribed a medication that interacted with another medication she was taking. I had always wanted to be in the medical field, but following my mothers death I wanted to find a way to help heal people, mind, body, and spirit. I had the opportunity to serve 3 years as an EMT in the small community I lived in. This only fueled my desire to further my education and follow a path to help people. I started taking classes to pursue a degree in nursing, but as a divorced mom of 6 children, the universe had a better plan for me. I worked in the medical field as a phlebotomist and as a surgical assistant to a periodontist before finally deciding to go to school to become an LMT. After graduating as an LMT I have had the opportunity to work with chiropractors, post cosmetic surgery patients, as well as my own practice. Working in these different settings helped me develop my skill set as a Licensed Massage Therapist. I love working with all different kinds of bodies on all different ailments. After receiving my certification as an LMT I knew that I needed to further my journey in learning in order to help people heal on not just a physical level. I went on to study Reiki and to become a certified Emotion Code practitioner. Born and raised in Southeast Idaho, I moved to Boise to teach Massage Therapy. I spent 2 years running the Massage Therapy program at Carrington College and teaching many students A&P, Kinesiology, Pathologies, Business, Ethics, as well as many massage modalities. I loved getting to be a part of those students' journey in becoming massage therapists and sharing my love of massage and passion for helping people. I am excited to bring my skills to the Magic Valley. I look forward to helping my clients on their healing journey.
