Practicing massage therapy is a calling that began even before I earned my bachelor's degree. My formal training started at the Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork on Kauai, Hawaii, following my studies in Chinese Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. With over 1,000 hours of massage training, I specialize in Structural Integration and Myofascial Release, and have furthered my expertise with additional courses in Cranio Sacral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, Prenatal, Trigger Point, Swedish, and Lomi Lomi. My education under Mark Olson, Ph.D., emphasized the Neuroscience Affective Relational Model, making me a Trauma-Informed therapist. My massage sessions are somatically focused, incorporating Myofascial Release, Cranio Sacral Therapy, and Structural Integration, tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe the most effective sessions occur when clients deeply engage with their bodily experiences, gaining new awareness and sensations. While I prioritize the nervous system, gently addressing areas of pain to recalibrate it, I refer clients to other professionals when necessary and offer long-term support to help them achieve their goals. With a background in dance, yoga, meditation, and endurance sports, I combine my diverse knowledge with hands-on work, and I also offer pharmaceutical-grade Thorne supplements at a discount. I look forward to helping you improve your well-being.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
