Ashel started her career as a Massage Therapist in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she graduated with honors from Centro Medico Escuela in 2002. Her passion for sports and teaching made her pursue a bachelor’s degree in science in Physical Education, graduating from Universidad Nacional de Lujanin 2003. She worked as a PE teacher at a local high school and coached a field hockey team for over 2 years. As a coach Ashel was exposed to injuries on her players and soon developed an interest in how to improve those players health and performances. Once in the United States, Ashel graduated as a Massage Therapist from Educating Hands, becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in July 2007. After graduation, she worked as a Lead Therapist at the Spa at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, in Miami, FL but her passion for physical therapy and a more therapeutic oriented type of practice brought her to Integrated Physical Therapy and Wellness, an outpatient facility where she worked from 2011 until 2017. She decided then to take her career to the next level and attended Keiser University where she became a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). She graduated with honors in May 2016 and was the first (in the 20 years the program has been in Keiser University) to obtain a perfect score on the National Board Exam. After graduation, Ashel returned to work with more knowledge and passion to treat clients. Ashel’s treatments include different techniques and modalities that are tailored to the client’s specific needs. With over 20 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, Ashel was able to work with a wide range of clients, from entry level to high end athletes. Now, as the owner of Therapeutic Approach Massage & Bodywork, she is ready to help you reach your goals by being an active part of your wellness/recovery journey.
