I am a Colorado native and have been a Longmont community member since 2000. I have always led an active lifestyle and have worked through my share of injuries from acute to more chronic conditions. With a bit of patience, facilitation from skilled practitioners and some behavioral changes, I was able to help my body heal. The human body has an amazing capacity to grow, heal and change. Helping others to make these changes in their own bodies and lives is why I do what I do. My initial love of massage therapy began after the birth of my daughter when a massage therapist came to my home to provide instruction regarding infant massage. It was fantastic! Such a great way to connect with my child and provide her with health benefits at the same time. After spending 8 years sitting at a desk and working with a computer in the corporate world, I decided to change my career and attend massage therapy school. I graduated with honors from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in Boulder, CO in September of 2010. I enjoy working in clinical environments and have experience working with chronic pain conditions in a chiropractic office, post-surgery and post-natal massage at a hospital and currently practice orthopedic manual therapy at Dragonfly Manual Therapy. At present, my main passion is to help people find their way out of the pain cycle caused by acute injuries, postural dysfunction or chronic conditions. While part of the treatment is manual therapy, the other aspect requires providing the patient with the education and tools to help change their behavior and manage their self care to keep their body running optimally. When I am not in the office, I enjoy time with my husband and daughter, mountain biking, hiking and eating tasty food!
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
