My original motivation for becoming a massage therapist is my husband. As an amateur cyclist in his youth, he had been introduced to the benefits of massage, and needed it both for athletic recovery and for previous injuries sustained. Eventually I attended the Denver School for Massage Therapy in Aurora, completing my studies with the top of my class. I am Board Certified, as well as a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Therapeutic massage is my passion. I use a combination of Trigger Point, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Injury & Sports Massage, Movement & Structural, Shiatsu and Acupressure, and Cranial Sacral techniques in most of my massages. I am also adept at Chair Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Lymphatics, and Aromatherapy, and have received continuing education in Gua Sha, and can also do Intra-Oral work. I have training in Hydrotherapy and am excited about using wraps and scrubs in my personal business. I also hope to expand on my limited knowledge and experience in Abhyanga Massage and Russian Sports Massage. I am listed as a CMS registered user. People who see me often deal with neck issues or other issues of pain and/or weakness throughout the body, including shoulders, low back, and hips. I often help people who deal with regular headaches or chronic pain, and assist clients with medical conditions. I have been a licensed massage therapist for 6 years, and began my career opening the Lakewood Green Leaf, which eventually became Tree of Life Massage Center. I worked there until it closed. My private studio is located in Centennial, CO, where I now work full time. I hope to continue my studies, eventually including Rolfing in my repertoire. Massage is fascinating to me, and I see myself always learning a new modality, always finding new ways to help my clients!
