My name is Mark Oskay. In 2007, I moved from Cleveland, Ohio to Tehachapi, California. I have been an massage therapist since 1999. My clientele has consisted of men & women all age groups, doctors, professional athletes (Browns, Ravens, and Indians), newscasters musical performers (P!nk), pregnancy, body builders, cross-trainers, avid hikers, and the eldery. I went to school for Cosmetology and received my “Ohio State Board of Managing Cosmetology License”. Then I started working at “Ichiban Salon & Day Spa”, specializing in the department of “Aesthetics”. Approximately 2 years after working there, clients, co-workers, and family encouraged me to pursue a career in “Massotherapy” (massage therapy). While working full-time I went to “National Institute of Massotherapy” and was licensed a year later by the “Ohio State Medical Board” as a Massage Therapist with certification in Neuromuscular Treatment and Trigger Point Therapy. That was just the beginning of my interest in this new career. Two years following my Massotherapy licensure and certification in “La Stone Therapy (Hot & cool stones)”, I took a vacation to “Thailand”. Gaining interest in “Ancient Thai Massage”, I began training for 1.5 years until I became certified in this modality. Recently, I was certified in Myofascial Decompression in which some refer to as "cupping". I have maintained my license from the Ohio Medical Board, where I am titled as "LMT - Licensed Massage Therapist (formerly: Licensed Massotherapist)" and a Licensed Healthcare Practitioner. I passed the Massage and Body Licensing Exam (MBLEX) in California which is required to obtain for the title of (CMT) Certified Massage Therapist by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC). As a self-employed mobile therapist, I have worked for spas, salons, and chiropractors since moving here. In mid-2021, I retired the mobile part of my business and opened my own office near downtown Tehachapi.
