My name is Alassandra and I am a Certified Massage Therapist and a Certified Survivor Advocate. My work as an advocate drives my passion to empower individuals in their lifelong healing journey, which lead me to studying the physiological impacts of trauma and the mind-body connection. My massage training includes Swedish or circulatory massage, deep tissue, Thai massage, acupressure, Tui Na, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, craniosacral therapy, sports massage, lymphatic brushing, and aromatherapy. As a massage therapist I provide a healthy touch that is not only relaxing and rejuvenating, but also helps facilitate the systems within the body to promote healing from physical and emotional pain. In addition to supporting survivors, I also work with people in caring professions who are experiencing vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, or burn out, including health care workers, care givers, mental health clinicians, social workers, and more. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Education from UC Santa Barbara and my background is working with individuals who have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and stalking. I have been lucky to work with a wide spectrum of people, including specialty populations such as veterans, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, former foster youth, cancer survivors, elderly, and people with disabilities, and I welcome clients who are interested in personalized care to support their mind, body, and spirit.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
