When was in my 20's I began suffering from migraine headaches. When I found relief at the hands of massage therapists I saw a way to help people who suffered from pain the way that I did. That is what prompted me to attend Chico Therapy Wellness Center in 2012 to become certified as a Massage Practitioner. It became clear to me then that massage is a valuable tool in a preventative health care regimen. Massage is in line with eating well, working out and taking vitamins to keep our bodies healthy. Massage stimulates blood flow and the lymphatic system. This promotes health in the tissue and muscle fibers of our bodies. It promotes healing, sounder sleep, stress and pain relief, helps boost mood and it has so many other beneficial effects. I believe there is real power in touch. When applied with care and proper intention, touch, can bring not just physical healing but can promotes mental and emotional wellbeing. The human touch is very powerful.
