Meesha has always been able to create a safe space for those around her. With innate listening skills and an intuitive nature, she is able to meet clients where they are, allowing them to build the trust necessary to be vulnerable and open. She has immense compassion, a strong desire and a keen awareness, to keep shame, judgement and expectation out of the equation. This creates the freedom necessary to uncover hidden truths and explore attainable solutions more easily.
Clients are repeatedly heard saying, “she knew exactly what I needed”, when coming out of a session. Contrary to her clients claims, Meesha is not psychic, but more an observer of life, a witness to the experience. And her insights are meant to teach her clients the same techniques; to witness their own reactions, to observe their own sensations, and give them the necessary tools to heal themselves. Some of those skills came naturally and some were learned through her own personal journey of self-reflection, exploration and education.
Navigating thru life, Meesha experienced several setbacks that she now refers to as Divine Timing. Overcoming health issues that cost her a full-ride scholarship and took her from a college career path in Communications to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist. And then years of anxiety and panic attacks led her into the life of Yoga Therapy and Life Coaching. Believing that everything happens for a reason, Meesha embraces the motto that “wherever you are, is where you are supposed to be”.
This married, mother of 3, has spent her lifetime trying to build better relationships, not only with others, but with herself. Connection became the cornerstone of her practice as she evolved during her career as an LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) at a Health and Wellness Center, for the last 16 years. Meesha discovered that most of her massages were becoming less about the physical work and more about the emotional connections to “dis-ease”. And it was through her continued studies of connection in all its forms, that she created her practice Connect with MEESHA. Through brainstorming ideas around the concept of connection, she found a correlation with the letters of her name, through which she now coins the phrase the “M.E.E.S.H.A. method” which stands for:
M indfulness E ducation E mpowering S elf- H ealing A bilities
Meesha has developed a way for her to integrate a life time of experiences with all of her learned modalities, to create a unique style of therapy that takes people out of their heads and into their bodies for answers. She takes them from thinking and doing, to feeling and being. By connecting people back to their bodies, with each other and to a collective Source of Oneness, Meesha believes we can begin to truly listen and bridge the gap of communication. We can heal the wounds of our past, step into the presence of who we are now and move forward.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
