I'm an older massage therapist who retired from the Air Force awhile back. Like many of you, I suffered incredible pain from my active-duty career. I'm sure many of you are experienced similar pain throughout your life and business careers. Following my military career, I wanted to be a Chiropractor, but it turned out I had broken my back on active duty, and the school determined it was an automatic expulsion, although I did finish out the year.   After Chiropractic College (1998), I worked numerous jobs, but nothing seemed to fit. I even earned a MS in Mental Health Counseling, but quickly learned Social Scientists despise veterans.  So, I decided to go back to school and earned a certificate in Massage.  I finally found something I really enjoyed. Like everyone in massage school, you learn Swedish (Relaxation) Massage and few other techniques.  I wasn't very good at it and thought it was boring.  I started my own business in Iowa and eventually pulled away from traditional massage.  I attended a class in non-traditional massage and fell in love with the techniques and discovered my ability to detect pain in others. My instructor asked me to come with him to the next weeklong clinic as a cohort at my former Chiropractic College.  I accepted and from that moment on, my life and business model changed. I will bet you never heard that before from a massage therapist.  I don't do relaxation massage. I do a hybrid Medical/Sports massage which at times can be somewhat uncomfortable. However, it is NEVER SUPPOSED TO HURT! Your injury took time before you sought out help and it will take time to return you to a more normal state.  I'm not a magician, nor am I a miracle healer.  Depending on your injury and length of time since it happened, it may take a while.   I accept cash, credit card, money order, cashier's check and barter.  I'm old and sometimes I need help. If you can't pay, we will work something out.
