I opened Oasis Massage Therapy in March of 2012 after 18 years of medical office management. Working in plastic and reconstructive surgery, and gastroenterology, I learned the body "inside and out" you might say. This knowledge has enhanced my massage and bodywork skills. I believe my deep faith enhances my intuitive skills, and my desire to help others is expressed in my nurturing style. Since graduating massage therapy school (LMT) I have acquired my (MMT) Master Massage Therapist designation, obtained a certification in Pediatric Massage through the Liddle Kidz Foundation (CPMT) and national certification in Manual Lymph Drainage through Klose (CMLDT). In May of 2015 I attended Oncology Massage training in Austin, TX with Tracy Walton and as a result, I am now a Preferred Provider with S4OM, Society for Oncology Massage. In the spring of 2017 I added specialized training in Breast Cancer Rehab at Washington University Medical School, PT School, again under KLOSE Training. Needless to say, I am a nerd when it comes to education. My style of massage is "Integrative" meaning I incorporate many styles and techniques in one session to produce the best result. My sessions may include; Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trager, CORE Bodywork (Noah Karrasch style rolfing) Manual Lymph Drainage, SMRT (Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique, Sports Massage, Assisted Stretching, Nurturing touch and energy work. My session fee is all inclusive and I do not charge additional fees for use of hot or cold stones, table warmer, or essential oils. Clients book sessions by length of time. At the time of the appointment I will determine the nature of the visit and work with the client to customize the session based on their needs that day. To quote Noah Karrasch, "Always coax the muscle. Never force it." To that end, I believe in working at the "hurts so good" level and not beyond. In my experience, once the body registers true pain the "fight and flight" response is triggered and the body braces for the pain and my work becomes ineffective. I believe in working with the body, not against it. Gentle, effective pain relief and management is my goal. I provide care to ages 5 to 100. I also provide Hospice Care at no charge and offer reduced rates to healthcare providers and caregivers. Peace, love and light, Leigh Ann Warriner, MMT, CPMT, CMLDT
