Throughout my work and life experience I’ve experienced many things but a few things shine through and seem to pop up in just about everything. Those are how you treat people, integrity, and consistency. I’ve seen places that spout family as one of their core values and then treat their employees as disposable. I’ve seen customers being upset because after complaining about a policy the employee ignored the policy in favor of said customer. People being aggravated because small things have changed as compared to last time. I’ve also been amazed that even if people don’t necessarily like someone, they can still respect them if they stick to who they are and their values. Treat people how they want to be treated, be who you are, and be consistent.
