Self Care Begins Here
Hello and Welcome! Please send all scheduling inquiries to kmwcare@gmail.com.
I am a licensed massage therapist in Grand Junction, CO specializing in lymphatic health and detoxification. I am accepting new clients for Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Reiki/Reiki Massage treatments only. I carry certifications through the Klose Institute to facilitate Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage to assist those with autoimmune/chronic inflammatory conditions, those with lymphedema, and those who have had orthopedic or cosmetic surgeries. Lymphatic sessions may include education and discussions regarding detoxing the body, (castor oil packs, herbal remedies, supplements, diet/nutrition, sauna therapy, dry brushing, exercises), performing self-lymphatic drainage techniques, and possible referrals to naturopathic, ayurvedic or functional medicine practitioners in the Grand Valley to assist you in finding the root cause of your symptoms for a holistic and systemic approach to your healing and wellness.
I have struggled with autoimmune conditions for several years and bodywork has been pivotal in the management of my symptoms, retraining the nervous system, and activating the body's own healing mechanisms. Autoimmune conditions have increased exponentially over the past few decades, targeting women more than men. The chronic pain, brain fog, and gut issues which accompany these conditions negatively impact one’s quality of life. Treatments, including Parasympathetic Paradise, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki/Energy Work, can aid in the reduction and management of the symptoms of chronic illness.
My experience with movement therapy, yoga, and the Nia Technique has also influenced my bodywork philosophy and approaches. As a result, Nia Technique, yoga principles and movements may be integrated into your session. I hold a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certification, and prior certifications in group fitness, The Nia Technique, in addition to Thai Yoga Massage, Neuromuscular Cupping, and Medical Massage. I am currently taking additional trainings in Oncology Massage and post-surgical lymphatic massage.
When I am not seeing clients, I love caring for others' fur-babies through my side-business, The Snuggery House, (a dog boarding/sitting/walking business), practicing yoga-inspired functional movement therapy, reading, paddleboarding, hiking and spending time with my husband around the many trails in Grand Junction and
surrounding areas.
Debbie Rosas, Founder of the Nia Technique says, "The relationship you
have to your body is the most important relationship you will ever have". Such
a simple and profound statement I carry with me personally and professionally,
as a daily reminder to listen to the body and nurture it intuitively,
mindfully, and spiritually.
