Integrative Hood River - Somatic Experiencing, Embodied Pelvic Care & Structural Integration
Shannon Northroup is an LMT, Structural Integration Practitioner, Movement Educator and SOMATIC EXPERIENCING® (SE) student. With over 20 years as a bodywork practitioner, Shannon brings the experience of working in clinical, hospital, physical therapy and private practice settings. Her professional journey in the healing arts, as well as various other complementary fields (trained Childbirth Educator, Labor Doula, Hospice volunteer) have woven together to create a diverse platform to practice, teach and embody the concepts of Structural Integration (SI), Embodied Pelvic Care (EPC) and SOMATIC EXPERIENCING® (SE). Shannon has found each of these modalities to be an access point for deepening into relationship with one's own body. She's interested in how subtle movement patterns, perception and somatic awareness can powerfully shift relationships in the body, psyche and soul. Through hands-on/in bodywork, somatic and movement education individuals are able to shift long held patterning (physical and emotional) and move towards more balance and ease in their bodies and nervous systems. Shannon's intention is to provide a safe and accepting environment, offering individuals the opportunity to collaborate with their deeper body knowing and wisdom.
