where time stands . . . Still
I am a certified Medical & Myofascial Release Massage Therapist. My certifications include *Myofascial Release (John Barnes), Oncology Massage, TMJ soft tissue therapies, Lymphatic Drainage and Cold Stone therapy for migraines. Each of my clients receive personalized attention for their therapy goals. I value what is unique in all of us and honor tailoring each session to the individual. My treatments feature a variety of massage and myofascial techniques that give my clients treatments that not only help specific issues but are relaxing as well. I incorporate the specific muscle work of medical massage and the power of gentle myofascial release which produces the best results for relieving pain, removing stress and increasing flexibility and healing. All sessions take place in my lovely, warm, and safe environment of my Bay View studio. The addition of Aromatherapy lends to wonderful therapies on a heated table with soft flannel sheets and blankets.
*For Myofascial Release sessions I recommend 90 minutes for your first appointment for postural assessments prior to treatment. Please wear shorts, sports bra or swimsuit. (additional information about MFR - see below)

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Our bodies are made up of an underlying system called fascia. It's a layered webbing that covers muscles, organs, bones, nerves and blood vessels from tip-to-toe. It supports and protects these structures by creating space for our delicate nerves, blood vessels and the fluids that pass through them. Through trauma, inflammatory responses and poor posture this structure becomes solidified and shortened. The results can produce seemingly unrelated clinical outcomes within our bodies.
If you find yourself unable to get to the bottom of an unrelenting pain issues that traditional massage techniques don't fully address, please consider this therapy.
