Here at Seven Senses Massage, we believe in the "whole" in holistic.  While there is a place for science in healthcare, there is also a place for holistic care.  A holistic approach is a natural, low to non-invasive approach to help the body do what it loves - maintain balance.

Meaning Behind the Name
Seven Senses Massage touches all 7 senses through massage.  We learn about the 5 senses when we are children: sight, smell, hear, taste, and touch; but, there are 2 more: vestibular and proprioception.  Vestibular gives us information about where we are in space and allows us to stay upright while walking, sitting or standing.  Proprioception is body awareness.  We know where body parts are without seeing them.  This is how we can close our eyes and touch our nose with a finger or know how much force to use when cracking an egg or lifting a box.  All 7 senses rely on communication between the nerves.

Tight muscles can impair movement, blood flow, even communication between the nerves.  At one time or another we have had a stiff joint, felt sluggish, or have a body part or organ just not function right.  One of the many benefits of massage is the release of muscle tension thus restoring movement, proper blood flow and communication between the nerves (providing no other injury exists).

Preventative care is the most cost effective approach to healthcare.  The multiple benefits of massage are a good reason to make massage part of your preventative self health care.  Each massage is tailored to your specific needs at the time of each session.  Book a massage or 2, or more today with Seven Senses Massage and maintain your path of wellness.
