I entered the massage therapy industry because I was looking for healing beyond the traditional sense and beyond western doctors theories of wellness. Wellness is an individuals sense of balance, and each body has their own way of talking to our minds to tell us what is going on. Massage therapy can be the road map of our bodies telling that story.
Relaxation and feeling calm or peaceful, can be just as healing as a deep tissue massage, or a cranial sacral session, as long as that is what your body needs. My passion is to help you find what your body needs, and give it to you with compassion, empathy, and an open mind. Most of my sessions do have a goal to them, they range from pain management, better body alignment, trigger points, anxiety and depression relief, to just plain relaxation and self care.
I offer a variety of modalities in massage, as well as, cupping therapy. In order to serve my clients to the best of my ability I usually combine modalities to offer the best of my services to my clients. By this I mean, if I give a deep tissue massage, I will more than likely add Shiatsu and possibly acupressure in to give the best relief possible. When working with injury massage, I usually couple it with cranial sacral, acupressure, lymphatic massage, possibly some cupping, and or hydrotherapy with hot or cold rocks involved. I believe that not very often can one modality do the trick, we need to partner with information and get the best possible result we can.
