Growing up as a military brat I had the blessing of living in Japan for a majority of my childhood. Moving to Cheyenne Wyoming after living on an island was a shock to my system, so shortly after graduation I moved to Washington state where I had the pleasure of going to the beach and the mountains in the same day. I ended up in Alaska for the last three years where I pursued my degree in Therapeutic Massage and got my national certification, following in my mothers footsteps.
I became a massage therapist after experiencing the benefits firsthand. After a series of concussions that left me with long-term whiplash and no doctor able to treat it effectively, I turned to the help of massage therapists, my mom and a specialist in Washington. Within months I was able to return to work full-time, I no longer struggled to sleep, and my anxiety was significantly reduced. I want to be that source of relief from aches and pains that I once sought out.
My goal as a massage therapist is to help you achieve your goals. Every session will be tailored to your needs, your first appointment will include a consultation, followed by an assessment to set up a treatment plan to help you achieve your end goal, plus your first treatment. I aim to help with posture, pain, anxiety, and depression. The benefits of receiving therapeutic massage on a regular basis are relieving stress, reducing headaches and tension, increasing circulation and flexibility, while improving posture and the immune system, with overall improvement of sleep quality.
