I really enjoy my profession - therapeutic bodywork is very rewarding to me because I get to see my clients get off my table and be able to move easier and have less pain after our session is up. That being said, I also feel that energy work is important, especially since our society places on emphasis on physical productivity but does not really acknowledge the association of emotional and mental health with physical health and well-being. I have been able to bridge this gap by incorporating the use of Reiki and Polarity-Balancing into my practice and using it to assist the physical work I do with massage and stretching modalities. In addition to being an LMT and Reiki Master, I help my clients by walking them through meditations and breathing exercises. I enjoy teaching people about meditation and mindfulness and helping them to find their own inner calm. While I cannot take away the things that stress them out, I can help them develop the means to process and deal with what life throws at them. I also create custom sterling silver jewelry that is embellished with crystals, stones, and semi-precious gems. This skill allows me to unwind and access the balance of the creative side of my brain with the logical.
