The reason I chose the field of Massage Therapy for a career was heavily based on my own experience with Chronic neck pain. Once I realized muscle relaxants were only masking the problem, I decided to receive Massage Therapy for a real solution. The Massage Therapist gently manipulated the muscles that were causing such havoc and I was amazed that this didn't hurt at all. I wanted to serve others who were living with pain, so I went on to enroll in Massage school, graduating in 2007.
My therapeutic style isn't all elbows and deep breaths, because I don't want the body "guarded" during the session. Instead, I take a slower, focused approach that allows the body and mind to accept the therapy with ease.
Most of my clients enjoy their sessions in a non-traditional Side-Lying position. When choosing this position to receive Massage, there are several advantages. For the Therapist, it makes it easier to access anterior, lateral and posterior sides of the body all at once. For you:
➡️ No congestion from being on your stomach in the face cradle
➡️ No need to remove contacts
➡️ No painful compression of larger breast tissue while lying on stomach
➡️ Natural position for side-sleepers
➡️ Can avoid discomfort for those with digestive issues and can't get comfortable on their stomach.
