Professional, effective and therapeutic massage therapist targeted towards helping clients in a holistic setting: specifically, with self-care and healing naturally. I am looking for clients who are moving away from Western Medicine and looking for alternative options. I believe our bodies have an amazing immune system that is capable of natural healing. Starting in 2021, I personally chose that my lifestyle would be free of any pharmaceuticals. I look forward to assisting my clients in their wellness journey.
Please review my policies prior to booking with me and call with any questions. If you have a coupon or gift certificate, please call to book. I return calls when a voicemail is left, during normal business hours. I do not accept same day appointments.
My Policies:
The following policies and procedures serve as a guide for first-time and repeat clients.
Arrival to Your Massage
Please arrive for your appointment at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. All massages have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours, the full price of the service will be charged. Please do not respond to the appointment reminders. Please call or text 608-799-4899.
Late Arrival Policy
Late arrivals will not receive extension of scheduled appointments. This is out of respect to the therapist who has planned their schedule around their appointments. It is also out of respect for fellow clients.
No Show Policy
Unforeseen events such as car problems, business meetings and children’s illnesses, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a massage appointment. However, call if the client cannot keep their appointment, they must call or text to cancel. . Clients who fail to show for appointments will be Invoiced for the appointment and blocked from future bookings until the invoice is paid. You may also be asked to pre-pay for future services. It is important that I am compensated for reserved time slots.
Informed Consent
Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with the client. The client will be asked to sign a consent stating they have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures.
Scope of Practice
Licensed Massage Therapists are professional and held to the highest standards. Massage Therapists will not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for diagnosis. Massage therapy is not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions.
Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries
The therapist will adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume/ style, or work longer on an area or move on if the client requests it.
The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods or stop massage at any time.
The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate. The session will be terminated immediately, and the client will be responsible for full payment.
Confidentiality and Conversation
All client visits and conditions are confidential. As such, the therapist will not discuss the client’s visit with anybody outside of the office. The client may choose to talk or not talk during the massage. Conversation will be guided by the client.
Existing/ New Medical Conditions, Medications and Vaccinations
The client must wait at least 21 days after any vaccination to receive a massage. Due to my own health issues, I am unable to see anyone who has had any COVID vaccines or boosters in the last 12 months. It is the responsibility of the client to keep the therapist informed of any medical condition, treatment, allergies and/or medications currently being taken. The client must keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions and will be asked at the beginning of each massage. This policy was put in place for the client’s protection. If the client fails to provide accurate health information the therapist will not be responsible for any adverse reaction to the massage. If the client has a new medical condition or medication, the massage therapist will need to determine if this has any massage contraindication. A contraindication means the massage is not safe for the client. If the therapist determines there is a contraindication, the client will need to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, prior to the massage.
Kid /pet Policy
Kids and pets are not allowed in the office while a parent or caregiver is receiving a massage.
Smoking
There is no smoking on my premises. If you are a smoker, please also refrain from smoking prior to the appointment.
Parking
Please park in the back of the building. When entering the building, please come down the steps as my studio is in the basement. If you need assistance on the steps, please let me know ahead of time.
