As a musician for the past 20 years, I came to massage because I love working with my hands. I wanted to branch out of the music world and learn a totally new and different skill. I love working with my hands, and I wanted to utilize the compassionate, healing side of myself even more in my everyday life. I am very compassionate and nurturing, and it is such a special gift to be able to help others alleviate their physical and even emotional pain. I have experienced stress and chronic physical pain from playing viola, and I have been able to work through it with the help of massage, yoga and other modalities. I have always enjoyed receiving massage, and I believe in the incredibly healing power of therapeutic touch. My goal is to facilitate and be a witness to my clients' healing process. When we practice self-care and self-love, the human body has tremendous healing powers! I am a calm and quiet person; I do a lot of internal processing and observing of the world around me. The art of massage allows me to listen through my hands and let them guide me - which is true for me whether I'm playing music or practicing massage. It is an honor to be present with my clients in states of vulnerability, pain, anxiety, depression and more, and help them find relief through therapeutic touch. I love helping clients with neck, shoulder and back issues (like many musicians have!) and overuse injuries like tendinitis and carpal tunnel. Massage can also be hugely beneficial for anxiety and depression, which many of us are feeling, now more than ever.
