Your Place to Rest, De-Stress & Heal
We offer full spectrum wellness treatments that are effective, results-driven, safe, convenient & affordably priced.
Acupuncture
An acupuncture treatment is the insertion of very fine stainless steel needles into specific points on the body. The combination of points that are selected are based on the pattern of imbalance determined by the practitioner.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is an advanced therapy in which the practitioner uses specialized, rhythmic techniques to gently move the lymph fluid in the direction of the lymph pathways. It is a technique that mimics the rhythm of the body’s lymphatic system.
MLD restores a lymph drainage system that is impaired by stimulating the lymphatic vessels which carry substances vital to the defense of the body and the removal of waste products.
MLD can improve the functions of the immune system and there have been studies that discovered MLD is also very effective in autoimmune disorders such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis and scleroderma. Benefits of MLD for autoimmune disorders are a decrease in hypersensitivity and pain, a decrease in tissue congestion and inflammatory mediators; and increased range of motion. In addition, MLD promotes a more restful sleep pattern and less overall fatigue.
I am offering MLD as a stand alone modality or in addition to acupuncture treatments to enhance clinical results.
Therapeutic Massage
We utilize a wide range of bodywork modalities to create each session specifically for our patients. The types of massage incorporated into the sessions are deep tissue, circulatory, hot stone, myofascial release, sports, tui na (Chinese medical massage) and stretching.
Cupping & Gua Sha
Cupping therapy is used to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation and increase circulation. At Touch 37, we often incorporate cupping therapy into the treatment to speed up healing time and to enhance results.
Gua sha is a gentle scraping technique used to relieve pain and muscle tension. It is applied using massage oil and a rounded edged instrument. This technique improves local circulation and breaks up adhesions in the muscles and connective tissue. Cupping and gua sha can temporarily leave markings on the skin called petechiae, which naturally disappear within a few days and are associated with improved blood flow to the area.
Herbal medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine is often used in addition to acupuncture to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment.
At Touch 37 we recommend and stock high quality, premium brands, that we trust to properly screen for safety and manufacture for efficacy.
