Welcome to Dmitry's Massage Therapy Studio. At Guide To The Body, we deeply respect and understand your suffering. Our goal is not just to run a business, but to help improve your well-being. You are special to us, and we will do our best to assist you. Together, let's find the right solution for you. I offer the following services:
• Swedish and Relaxation Massage: This technique is suitable for those without specific needs. It helps reduce stress, headaches, and tension, promoting overall relaxation.
• Medical and Therapeutic Massage: Our medical massage combines deep tissue massage, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, and neuromuscular re-education. Depending on your condition, we may also incorporate other types of massage and therapy. This approach is tailored to address various medical conditions.
• Deep Tissue Massage: Deep tissue massage focuses on relieving tension in muscles and connective tissues. By using specific techniques and strokes, we target deep muscles below the surface, providing pain relief and relaxation. This type of massage is ideal for clients experiencing consistent pain or physical injuries.
• Trigger Points: Trigger points are areas within muscles that can cause pain in different parts of the body. For example, a trigger point in the back can lead to pain in the shoulder, resulting in a headache. By applying pressure for 16 to 18 seconds, repeated 5 or 6 times, we aim to relax the muscles. Gentle stretching of the entire area is then performed. Many clients experience a decrease in pain after just one or two treatments.
• Myofascial Release: Myofascial release is a gentle form of massage that combines massage and stretching techniques. Through light pressure and kneading-type strokes, we work to stretch, soften, loosen, and lengthen the muscles. Holding pressure in one area for 1 to 2 minutes helps relax and stretch the muscles. This method is effective in preventing scar tissue formation after trauma, injury, or chronic pain. It can also relieve tension associated with conditions like headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthrosis and arthritis, muscle spasms, cramps, and fibromyalgia.
• Applied Kinesiology: Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a non-invasive system that evaluates body function through manual muscle testing. This system combines joint manipulation, myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture skills, clinical nutrition, dietary management, counseling, and reflex procedures. It has become a dynamic movement in healthcare.
• Lymphatic Drainage: Lymphatic drainage massage techniques stimulate the movement of lymphatic fluid through the lymphatic system. By applying pressure and decompression, we promote lymph flow, reducing edema, easing secondary pain, preventing scar tissue, and helping remove metabolic waste caused by inflammation and edema. We hope this overview of our services helps you understand how we can assist you in achieving your wellness goals.
