Brian has been practicing Therapeutic Massage since 1999 and blends the art of informed touch with his ability to listen to the needs of each client. He works with athletes, elders, artists, business leaders, and moms to help bring relief from injuries and chronic pain patterns that are developed from stress and living in the 21st Century. He also gives “one of the best” relaxing massages informed from his study of yoga and meditation. He is passionate about learning and holds a BFA in Metalworking from Ball State University, graduated at the top of his class from The Healthy Lifestyle School of Massage Therapy, and continues his training and honing his skills with leading teachers in the field of neuromuscular, orthopedic, and postional therapy.
Brian grew up in Indiana where he studied art and massage therapy. He opened The Union Pearl Center for Healing Arts in a lovely Victorian home in Muncie, Indiana where he taught Kripalu Yoga, had a small shop where he sold books, practiced massage, and started his family. In 2003 his family moved to Vermont and settled in Middlebury where he has worked in a variety of different environments. He worked in produce at The Middlebury Natural Foods Coop, started and ran a house painting business, was on staff as the Sexton at The Congregational Church of Middlebury, and taught ceramics at The Middlebury Studio School and Kripalu Yoga at Otter Creek Yoga. He For the last 4 years he has had his massage practice and art studio in the upstairs of Solos Salon which is a short walk from downtown Middlebury.
In his down time he enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer and their children Arianna, Elliott, Nathan, and Sofia. They have two cats, a pottery wheel, a library of good books, and a house full of laugher and lively conversation.
