Annie K Lively graduated with a BS in Kinesiology with dreams of providing a special place that would bring her faith in Jesus to the center of massage therapy helping individuals who have struggled with chronic pain, injuries, stress related illnesses and conditions. She is a national state licensed massage therapist through the NCBTMB and a certified personal trainer through NASM. Annie has extensive experience working with doctors, chiropractors, surgeons, physical therapists, acupuncturists, nutritionists and fitness trainers. During this time, Annie has been a massage therapy instructor where she taught her students in kinesiology, anatomy and physiology and therapeutic massage. Annie has always had a passion for both exercise and massage and their role in enhancing one's physical, mental and emotional health. It was through a serious back injury that she discovered the healing power of a therapeutic massage. When she started to heal from receiving therapeutic massages after growing so frustrated and tired with enduring months of intense and chronic back pain, she realized God brought her into this new incredible career to pay it forward and help others heal. Her hope continues to be helping others get back to embracing their full quality of life with better movement, a sound mind, and a healthier body. Annie loves combining her love of kinesiology and how muscles move to helping individuals resolve the pain, weaknesses and dysfunction in the soft tissue and muscles. Her experiences as a certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, teaching kinesiology and studying functional movement in depth have cultivated her work for targeting, identifying and properly treating a variety of conditions, injuries and stress within the body.
As a massage therapist who is serious about the need for quality continuing education in her profession, Annie helped a multidisciplinary wellness center in VA to become an approved provider for continuing education. Annie loves working with all ages, all walks of life and families. Many of her clients include athletes, post therapy clients, prenatal, chiropractic, rehabilitative, elderly and orthopedic clients. Annie has taken extensive courses in orthopedic massage, mind and body, fascia and neuromuscular work and specializes in treating injuries and conditions with the back and hips.
In 2023, Annie was appointed by the governor to serve on the massage advisory board for VA. She is currently studying to become a certified myoskeletal alignment therapist under Erik dalton’s teachings in 2024. Outside of the office, Annie is passionate about running, fitness, ministry, art, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. She looks forward to working with you and helping you to feel and move your absolute best!
