My name is Melissa and I have graduated Zion Massage College with honors. My favorite massages are structural and prenatal.
If you want just a soothing massage a Swedish massage is the way to go.
If you have some real pain and are wanting to work on getting it under control structural/ deep tissue is the way to go. In your structural/deep tissue massage I will ask questions, maybe a lot of them. I need to know how your pain is feeling, what is helping, etc. My goal is to help you get to a point in your life that your pain isn't the main focus. I have stretches and movements that I ask you to do with my deep tissue regarding on what I can find out is going on.
Prenatal is a Swedish massage with some adjustments made on setup and how I massage you. I can use deeper pressure on the upper back and arms. Legs are lighter due to some issues that we will discuss at the appointment. I am happy to answer any questions you have regarding if a prenatal massage is the way to go for you.
*I do ask that if you are pregnant, that you provide a signed release from your OBGYN! I will not be able to work on you without one. I do not want to turn you away (because massage is so important for expectant mothers) but that release is important for me to make sure you are as safe as possible.
