My massage journey starts at the Mount Nittany Institute of Natural Health in State College, Pennsylvania. Tai Chi was the core background to my massage training, however, I took a special interest in the deeper side of Massage with studying Neuromuscular Therapy and Deep Fascia Release, also known as 'trigger point' therapy. After graduation in 2003, I began working with late Dr. Andrew Bieber in his Chiropractic office that same year. This professional environment offered a unique approach to the way I massage in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments. With the sudden passing of my young sister who lived with epilepsy, I shifted my studies more toward the push for medical marijuana in the state of Pennsylvania. I feel had medical marijuana been legal at the time of my sister's passing, her medication options could have included a safer drug. So I helped the Mama Bears in Harrisburg pass the medical marijuana bill. I've held my practice for 16 years, and I'm currently treating clients and educating about massage and the benefits of CBD oil at my privately owned practice at 26 South Main St in Muncy, PA. This year Cryotherapy for the whole body was added to the practice and it's focus is using extreme cold to disrupt the body's systems and create better functioning systems naturally. It's been a little hobby of mine since 2003. FAQ: What kind of massage do I do? A mix of Swedish, DFR & NMT Massage is a uniquely personal experience you want to be comfortable with. Making every attempt to inhibit you to let go of YOU is so important because when you are relaxed so are your muscles making my work more effective. My job is to get clients used to my work/touch (DFR - deep fascia release & NMT - neuromuscular therapy) which are typically painful therapies, while remaining within the client's pain limits and easing their soreness post-massage. I'm currently writing a course on these modalities. My goal is to copyright and get credentialing through NCBTMB to offer Continuing Education classes at Knead It or Not Massage & Bodyworks location!
