Hi! I'm Katie. Body work and massage therapy have been a wonderful addition to my life. I have always been an empath and becoming a bodyworker has truly been my calling. I first saw the benefits of massage while I was pregnant with my now 14 year old son. It was the only thing that relieved my sciatica. But what truly helped was having a skilled bodyworker make the emotional space for my radically changing body. She helped me with my transformation from me to mom. I knew then that I wanted to help people the way she helped me. Now 14 years and two kids later I get to do what I love and am passionate about which is helping others feel good in their bodies. Human touch is such an important aspect of our health and yet we can become touch starved. My goal as a bodyworker is to use my calm and productive skill to help my clients to not only be in less pain but to have those benefits that safe therapeutic touch can give them. Some of those benefits are lowering blood pressure, decreasing the stress hormone cortisol, and improving circulation. I use my massage toolbox to blend the perfect amount of strength and gentleness to improve my clients wellness. A little about me is I am a native Pacific North Westerner. I grew up here in the Portland area and have also lived in the greater Seattle area. As many from this area also feel... I love the outdoors! Hiking and paddle boarding are some of my favorite ways to be outdoors but I also love just sitting enjoying a beautiful sunset on the Oregon Coast. Spending time with my husband and 2 children is a must and I'm so thankful for my career to allow me this balance in life. You will also find me at my favorite gym Burn Bootcamp almost every day. I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your wellness journey!
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
